XPL Technical Analysis Jan 25

XPL is balancing with mixed signals at the 0.13$ level; short-term 0.1254$ support and 0.1292$ resistance are critical, BTC pressure could challenge altcoins.

Short-Term Market Outlook

XPL is currently trading around 0.13$, recording a slight 0.40% increase over the last 24 hours. The intraday range stayed between 0.12$ – 0.13$, with volume at a moderate 67.04M$ level. Despite the overall downtrend, positioning above the short-term EMA20 (0.13$) is a positive sign. RSI at 48.77 is in neutral territory, with no overbought-oversold conditions. The MACD histogram is positive and giving a bullish signal, but Supertrend is bearish indicating 0.14$ resistance. This mixed picture points to volatility in the next 24-48 hours. Under downtrend pressure, monitoring critical levels for quick momentum shifts is essential. For short-term traders, invalidation points should be kept tight: breakout above 0.1292$ upside, stop below 0.1254$ ideal.

Intraday Critical Levels

Nearby Support Zones

The nearest support zone is 0.1254$ (strength score: 86/100), just above the intraday lows and strong on the 1D timeframe. A break could quickly test 0.12$, the last 24-hour low. Second support around 0.1220$, from MTF (1W support). These levels offer quick long/short opportunities for scalping; holding above 0.1254$ could recover momentum.

Nearby Resistance Zones

First resistance at 0.1292$ (score: 64/100), just above the price and intraday high test point. Above that 0.1322$ (score: 61/100) and Supertrend 0.14$ resistance. Higher up 0.1759$ (3D/1W) distant target, but short-term focus on 0.1322$. These resistances require volume confirmation for breakout; failure increases short bias.

Momentum and Speed Analysis

Short-term momentum is mixed: MACD bullish crossover is accelerating speed, positive histogram promises upward momentum. RSI 48.77 neutral, could accelerate above 50. However, bearish Supertrend and downtrend structure limit upside moves. On 4H chart, above EMA20 is bullish, but 1D shows overall pressure. Volume profile analysis shows 0.13$ pivot as high volume; upward escape from here needs 20%+ volume spike. Scalping zones: consolidation between 0.1280-0.1292$, breakout speed above 0.0010$/minute becomes aggressive. Risk: False breakouts are frequent, manage with tight stops.

Short-Term Scenarios

Upside Scenario

Close above 0.1292$ with volume increase activates bullish scenario. Quick target 0.1322$, then 0.1426$ (short-term upside target, score 13). Trigger: 0.1295$ break, invalidation below 0.1280$. Momentum supported by EMA20 and MACD, 5-8% upside potential in 24 hours. Supported by altcoin rotation if BTC stays stable.

Downside Scenario

Close below 0.1254$ triggers bearish. Target 0.12$, rapid drop aligns with Supertrend. Trigger: 0.1250$ break, invalidation above 0.1270$. Downtrend structure and neutral RSI accelerate downside, 7% downside risk. Volume increase strengthens shorts; scalpers can watch 0.1265$ short entry.

Bitcoin Correlation

BTC sideways at 89,149$ level, weak with 24h -0.81% drop. Key supports: 88,989$, 87,635$; resistances: 89,276$, 90,782$. BTC Supertrend bearish, rising dominance crushes altcoins; below BTC 89,000$ critical risk for XPL. BTC break above 89,276$ gives XPL breathing room, but current pressure challenges 0.1292$ resistance. Altcoin traders watch BTC 88,989$ support, break pressures XPL to 0.1254$. Correlation high, 80%+; XPL longs risky if BTC not stable.

Daily Summary and Monitoring Points

Today’s XPL focus: 0.1254$ support hold and 0.1292$ resistance test. Upside scenario needs volume + MACD confirmation, downside on 0.1254$ break. MTF has 12 strong levels (1D:2S/2R), but short-term tight: Watch 0.13$ pivot. Risk management: Positions 1-2% capital, stops 0.5% tight. Short-term trades high risk, keep leverage low. The post Cashing In On University Patents Means Giving Up On Our Innovation Future appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. “It’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress,” writes Pipes. Getty Images Washington is addicted to taxing success. Now, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick is floating a plan to skim half the patent earnings from inventions developed at universities with federal funding. It’s being sold as a way to shore up programs like Social Security. In reality, it’s a raid on American innovation that would deliver pennies to the Treasury while kneecapping the very engine of our economic and medical progress. Yes, taxpayer dollars support early-stage research. But the real payoff comes later—in the jobs created, cures discovered, and industries launched when universities and private industry turn those discoveries into real products. By comparison, the sums at stake in patent licensing are trivial. Universities collectively earn only about $3.6 billion annually in patent income—less than the federal government spends on Social Security in a single day. Even confiscating half would barely register against a $6 trillion federal budget. And yet the damage from such a policy would be anything but trivial. The true return on taxpayer investment isn’t in licensing checks sent to Washington, but in the downstream economic activity that federally supported research unleashes. Thanks to the bipartisan Bayh-Dole Act of 1980, universities and private industry have powerful incentives to translate early-stage discoveries into real-world products. Before Bayh-Dole, the government hoarded patents from federally funded research, and fewer than 5% were ever licensed. Once universities could own and license their own inventions, innovation exploded. The result has been one of the best returns on investment in government history. Since 1996, university research has added nearly $2 trillion to U.S. industrial output, supported 6.5 million jobs, and launched more than 19,000 startups. Those companies pay…

China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise

The post China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise appeared on BitcoinEthereumNews.com. China Blocks Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D as Local Chips Rise China’s internet regulator has ordered the country’s biggest technology firms, including Alibaba and ByteDance, to stop purchasing Nvidia’s RTX Pro 6000D GPUs. According to the Financial Times, the move shuts down the last major channel for mass supplies of American chips to the Chinese market. Why Beijing Halted Nvidia Purchases Chinese companies had planned to buy tens of thousands of RTX Pro 6000D accelerators and had already begun testing them in servers. But regulators intervened, halting the purchases and signaling stricter controls than earlier measures placed on Nvidia’s H20 chip. Image: Nvidia An audit compared Huawei and Cambricon processors, along with chips developed by Alibaba and Baidu, against Nvidia’s export-approved products. Regulators concluded that Chinese chips had reached performance levels comparable to the restricted U.S. models. This assessment pushed authorities to advise firms to rely more heavily on domestic processors, further tightening Nvidia’s already limited position in China. China’s Drive Toward Tech Independence The decision highlights Beijing’s focus on import substitution — developing self-sufficient chip production to reduce reliance on U.S. supplies. “The signal is now clear: all attention is focused on building a domestic ecosystem,” said a representative of a leading Chinese tech company. Nvidia had unveiled the RTX Pro 6000D in July 2025 during CEO Jensen Huang’s visit to Beijing, in an attempt to keep a foothold in China after Washington restricted exports of its most advanced chips. But momentum is shifting. Industry sources told the Financial Times that Chinese manufacturers plan to triple AI chip production next year to meet growing demand. They believe “domestic supply will now be sufficient without Nvidia.” What It Means for the Future With Huawei, Cambricon, Alibaba, and Baidu stepping up, China is positioning itself for long-term technological independence. Nvidia, meanwhile, faces…
